1. Determine Your Eligibility
You can apply for a PR card if you:
✔ Are a permanent resident of Canada
✔ Are physically present in Canada
✔ Have met the residency obligation (at least 730 days in Canada within the last 5 years)
✔ Are not under a removal order or facing criminal issues
2. Gather Required Documents
Prepare the following:
✔ PR Card Application Form (IMM 5444) (Available on the Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) website)
✔ Photocopy of valid passport or travel document
✔ Two recent photos (meeting IRCC’s specifications)
✔ Proof of residency (e.g., tax documents, lease agreements, employment records)
✔ Processing fee payment receipt ($50 CAD)
3. Complete the Application
- Carefully fill out the IMM 5444 form with accurate details.

4. Submit Your Application

5. Wait for Processing
